On October 24, 2009, BOOK IDOL CANADA burst onto the national stage with an exciting writing contest and a never-before-seen prize package sponsored by BOOK IDOL's own set of Idols, Kim McArthur, award-winning President of McArthur & Company and William Gladstone, famed literary agent, publishing industry pioneer and author of THE TWELVE.
BOOK IDOL CANADA presented the 2009 Book Idol winner Julianna Kozma with her novel Mosquitoes of Summer at Indigo’s flagship store in downtown Montreal, stunned her (and the over 100 in attendance) with a surprise announcement that McArthur & Company was going to publish her book and unveiled its national Twelve Voices of Canada campaign, a soon-to-be launched nine-month reality contest open to aspiring Canadian writers that promises twelve impressive first prize packages currently valued at over $150,000.
